Current weather forecasts are showing very cold temperatures with a chance of snow across Weston-Super-Mare on Sunday. We are continuing to monitor the situation carefully and will update you all throughout Friday and Saturday, both here on our website and on our Facebook page. At present, we do not foresee a need to cancel the Weston Super Half but we do have some advice for our runners to help keep safe and warm at the event.

- Dress Appropriately for the cold weather. Wear extra layers of old clothing that you are happy to discard whilst you are waiting at for the race to begin. You can remove these and leave them at the start line. Left items will be collected and donated to charity.

 - Wear a hat and gloves

 - Warm up properly ahead of the race and continue to keep warm whilst in your starting pens

- If you need to stop on the route for any reason, we will make sure you are attended to quickly

- We will have foil blankets on standby for any runners that require them at the end of the event
