RACE DAY TIMETABLE

YOUR RACE PACK:

  • Race packs will be sent out two weeks before race day. This will include your:

Race Number:

  • This will have your timing chip attached.

  • You MUST attach your race number to your FRONT with 4 safety pins.

  • It should be clearly visible to marshals and medical team.

  • Please fill in your personal details on the reverse of the number.

Baggage Label:

  • This is attached to your race number.

  • If you want to drop off 1 small bag at race village, please attach the label to your bag BEFORE you drop off.

Race Instructions

  • Take some time to read the race instructions prior to the day, this can significantly reduce pre race stress!

TRAVEL INFO & PARKING:

TRAINING & WELFARE:

  • Your personal commitment is to train for the event appropriately – making sure you are fully prepared for the day.

  • If you have been unwell or injured in the days leading up to the event then we would advise you not to take part.

BAGGAGE:

  • Your baggage can either be left with a friend or family member, or at the baggage store located in the event village.

  • Please use the baggage label that will come attached to your race number.

  • Baggage is left entirely at your own risk – we strongly advise you not to leave valuable items.

START ASSEMBLY INFORMATION:

  • Allow plenty of time to get to the start – the race will not be delayed due to late arrivals.

  • Line up in the appropriate time zone relating to your anticipated finish time – you timing chip will not be activated until you cross the start line.

ROUTE:

  • The route is fully signed and marshalled – please follow marshal instruction.

  • Aid stations are along the route with water, toilets and medical support.

  • Participants will be asked to move onto the pavement if they fall behind the road re-opening schedule - on sections where there is no pedestrian footpath, participants will be re-routed.

  • Runners must reach the 10 mile point by 1.00pm to be able to do the full 13.1 mile route. Any participant after this time will be turned around to follow the remainder of the race route. We will have to enforce this cut off time due to us having to adhere to a strict road closure reopening schedule.

  • Everyone will be greeted at the finish with their medal and other rewards.

PHOTOS & RESULTS:

  • Photos and results will be available via the website as soon as possible after the race.

PRESENTATIONS & PRIZES:

  • Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place men & women will be awarded on the main stage post race.

  • Prizes for 1st place in each age category will be posted out in the following week. Please note: One prize per winner.

  • In accordance with UK Athletics Rules ALL PRIZES will be awarded based on Gun Finish Time.

UK ATHLETICS RACE LICENSE AND ROUTE CLASSIFICATION:

  • UK Athletics Race License - TBC, the event will be run according to UK Athletics rules

  • Half Marathon route is classified as a multi-terrain race by UK Athletics, as there a total of 1.5miles on the beach, that is over 5% of the route total distance.

  • The route will be accurately measure by an independent official in accordance with UK Athletics guidelines

  • Race times will be eligible for Run Britain rankings
